A full detail on a sedan takes about 2.5–4 hours. Interior-only runs 1.5–2.5 hours and an exterior wash & wax 1–2 hours. Ceramic coating is a 6–10 hour job, and the car needs to stay dry for 24 hours afterward while it cures.

No. Most customers leave the keys with us (or in an agreed spot) and go about their day. We text you before we start, during the job, and when we're done, with photos. If you'd like a walkaround at the end, tell us when you book and we'll schedule for it.

Wax sits on top of the paint and lasts 2–3 months. A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to the clear coat and lasts years — we install Gtechniq coatings in 3-, 5- and 10-year packages at $400, $600 and $999. It blocks UV fade, bird droppings and road film, and makes the car hydrophobic so most dirt rinses off with a hose. Wax is maintenance; a coating is protection.

If you have a garage or carport, we work under it and the appointment goes ahead as planned. If there's no cover, we reschedule you to the next soonest available day — no fee, no hassle. We watch the forecast and will text you the day before if it looks like a wash-out.

It is if you're keeping the car more than a couple of years, it lives outside, or you're tired of washing it. Over five years a $600 coating costs about what a wax-every-season routine does and the paint is protected the whole time. It's a poor buy if you're selling soon, or if the paint has swirls you don't plan to correct first — a coating locks in whatever is under it.
